01 / THE PROGRAMWhat this is

The 186 Studios partner program pays you a recurring commission for referring paying subscribers to 186 Studios. Joining is free and non-exclusive: there is no cost, no quota, and no restriction on promoting other products alongside ours.

Being a partner does not make you an employee, agency, or legal representative of 186 Studios, and it does not grant any license to our brand beyond the promotional assets we provide.

02 / JOININGApplications and approval

Anyone can apply. We review applications within 2 business days and approval is at our discretion. If approved, you receive a private onboarding link through our payment processor (Stripe) to complete tax and payout setup: a W-9 in the US or a W-8BEN outside it. We never collect tax IDs or bank details on our own forms.

Your referral link goes live the moment onboarding is complete.

03 / RATESCommission rates

• Partner: 17.5% of referred revenue, starting with your very first referral.
• Super-Partner: 25% once you cross 25 active referred subscribers. The higher rate applies to ALL of your referrals, not just new ones.
• An active referral is a subscriber you referred whose payments are current.
• Once you reach Super-Partner, that tier is locked in, even if your active count later dips below 25.

04 / EARNINGWhat earns commission

• Commissions accrue on collected, non-refunded payments during each referred subscriber's first 12 months.
• Your cut follows what the subscriber actually pays: upgrades raise your commission automatically, downgrades lower it.
• If a referral cancels, commission on that subscriber stops. Your other referrals keep earning.
• Purchases beyond the base subscription (such as credit packs and additional products) can earn commission under separate pricing and referral structures, detailed in your partner dashboard.
• Refunds and chargebacks are clawed back from your balance.

05 / TRACKINGAttribution

Referrals are tracked with a 60-day attribution cookie set when someone follows your link. If they subscribe within that window, the referral is yours. Attribution goes to the most recent partner link clicked.

06 / PAYOUTSGetting paid

• Payouts run monthly via PayPal or bank transfer (Stripe).
• $25 minimum balance to trigger a payout; smaller balances roll forward.
• A 30-day hold applies to newly accrued commission, covering the refund window.

07 / RULESPromotion rules

Break these and the application box you checked, and we can remove you from the program:

• No self-referrals. You cannot earn commission on your own subscriptions or accounts you control.
• No coupon-site posting. Your link and any promo codes stay off coupon and deal aggregator sites.
• No brand-keyword bidding. Do not run paid search ads on "186 Studios" or confusingly similar terms.
• No spam or misleading claims. Promote through channels you own or have permission to use, and describe the product accurately.
• Disclose the relationship. Follow the disclosure rules that apply to you (for example FTC affiliate disclosure in the US).

08 / FOUNDING OFFERFounding member pricing

While the founding offer runs, your link unlocks founding member pricing for your audience: the Creator plan locked at $15 a month instead of $20 for as long as they stay subscribed, limited to the first 500 members. Your commission is calculated on what they actually pay.

09 / CHANGESTermination and changes

You can leave the program at any time by telling us. We can end a partnership for violating these terms, for fraud, or by discontinuing the program. Fraudulent activity forfeits unpaid commission; otherwise, legitimately accrued commission is paid out on the normal schedule when a partnership ends.

We may update these terms as the program evolves. Material changes are announced to active partners before they take effect and do not retroactively change commission you have already earned.
